Art at the Edge of Understanding
Naturally Inspired is a Substack column published by me every other week, a three-minute read for anyone who believes a creative life is about far more than what happens at the easel.
For decades, I’ve worked as a multi-disciplinary artist across traditional and digital media, video, installation, writing, and garden design. These mediums thread through my life, receding and returning as my incessant need for experimentation and expanding areas of inquiry invite new challenges.
The studio, for me, is wherever I create — standing at my easel, sitting at my desktop, or bending in my garden. With degrees in Fine Arts and Horticulture, nature, and the garden especially, is my muse.
You can expect honest, unhurried writing on creativity, nature, and the small practices that quietly change everything.
